FEMA's Flood Zone Maps
See FEMA's Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) to find out if your property is located within a Special Flood Hazard Area or floodway; to find your property's Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) Zone; or the base flood elevation for your property.

Flood Elevation Certificate
Applicants in all FEMA-designated flood zones, with the exception of Moderate to Low-Risk Areas designated Zone X, are required to demonstrate compliance with standards for development within these zones. This includes certification that all habitable areas of the project are at least one foot above the base flood elevation, limiting the use of all areas below this elevation to utility purposes constructed with breakaway walls, and installing flood vents within the foundation.

National Flood Insurance Program
The NFIP makes available federally backed flood insurance for all structures, whether or not they are located within the floodplain.
